Also known as Vodacom roaming, these packages enable Vodacom subscribers to make calls to countries such as Canada, USA, UK and many more.
Vodacom international call rates
With as low as 89c you can call family and friends overseas in up to 95 countries. There are basically two international call packages on Vodacom. There are:
- International calling (normal)
- International calling plus. This is for those who make a lot of foreign calls.

How to make international calls on Vodacom
To make international calls on Vodacom you need to first check if it is activated by dialing *#331#. If it is, proceed to place your call. Otherwise, subscribe by dialing *135*89#.
After successfully choosing a package, follow the steps below to place an international call.
- Open your phone’s dialer app
- Enter the international access code (00 or +)
- Enter the country code (example 1 for USA, 233 for Ghana, etc.)
- Enter the full telephone number of the person you’re calling
- Dial the place call

Terms and conditions
- A calling limit has been placed on international calls to regulate suspicious behavior. You can only make up R10,000 per month worth of international calls on Vodacom. If you need an increase in this limit, you must call Vodacom’s customer care line or visit any of their offices.
- For prepaid customers, the international calling package is already activated for you.
- For top up and contract customers, you need to dial *135*89# to activate the offer.
- To deactivate, dial same code.
- Calls are charged per second on the international calling plus service whiles its charge per minute on the normal package.
