Born 4th January 1974, Sindiswa Dlathu, professionally and popularly known as Sindi Dlathu is a South African actress and musician. She was born in Meadowlands, Soweto Johannesburg.
She gained prominence for portraying Thandaza Mokoena on Muvhango.
Dlathu left Muvhango to play a leading role in the telenovela The River, where she plays the role of Lindiwe Dlamini-Dikana, a fierce woman, who would do anything to protect her wealth and maintain her lavish lifestyle.

Dlathu has played leading and assisting roles in several plays and films in South Africa. Among these is her casting as the lead role in Sarafina (stage version). She has also worked with Whoopi Goldberg in screen version and was commissioned as an assistant choreographer to Michael Peters.
Dlathu then returned to school after four years of being with Mbongeni Ngema’s committed artists. She completed her matric in 1996, and then went back to performing arts, stage plays.
