Vosloo was born into a family of actors that inspired him to also become an actor. His father owned a drive-in theatre in Alberton. He enrolled at Pretoria Technikon where he took some drama courses.
His career originally began when he got the chance to perform in plays such as Don Juan, Hamlet and several others. He won several awards at that early stage due to his outstanding performance and skill.
